You may be eligible to make a Charitable Gift
and Save on Taxes
Plan Now for Maximum Savings
During 2013 it is possible for you, if you have a Traditional or Roth IRA and you are 70 ½ or older, to make tax-free gifts directly to The Church of Our Saviour. You can choose to make such distributions up to a total of $100,000. A couple with separate IRAs can each make gifts up to $100,000.
Could you benefit?
Making gifts from IRA funds that would otherwise lead to increased taxes can be a wise choice for you. This is especially
true if you must take mandatory withdrawals each year.
Other Considerations
To qualify, charitable gifts must be made Directly from a Traditional or Roth IRA to the Church. Check with your advisors for the possibility of making gifts from an IRA after transferring funds from other types of retirement accounts. Gifts must be made directly to the Church and may not be used to fund trusts or other indirect gifts, such as advised funds or private foundations. In addition, no goods or services that would otherwise reduce the amount of a charitable deduction may be received by a donor.
